contain a combination of substances that calm bouts of coughing, suppress spasms and attenuate bronchial congestion, helping to facilitate expectoration and making breathing easier. They are used in cases of acute and chronic cough accompanying certain respiratory tract diseases such as bronchitis, tracheitis and laryngitis. The syrups contain no cariogenic sugars.
Pectocalmine contains guaifenesin, codeine hydrogen phosphate, ephedrine, opium powder and polygala liquid extract as the active substances.

Pectocalmine Junior® N sugar-free 
contains codeine hydrogen phosphate and poppy petal extract. Because of the small amounts of active substances contained in Pectocalmine Junior N sugar-free syrup, this product is particularly suitable for the treatment of children and adolescents up to the age of 13 years. It is not suitable for adult treatment.
