contains a combination of three substances called pholcodine, chlorphenamine and guaifenesin. These substances calm cough in babies and young children and facilitate expectoration. Pholcodine is an antitussive which attenuates cough without causing constipation. Chlorphenamine acts against allergies and has a calming effect that reduces the cough reflex further and provides the child with necessary calm. Guaifenesin helps to facilitate expectoration.

Pecto-Baby sugar-free syrup is recommended for the treatment of cough accompanying certain respiratory tract diseases such as bronchitis, laryngitis, influenza and whooping-cough. The syrup contains no cariogenic sugars.
