The hair does not grow continuously but follows a cyclic and periodic rhythm which may vary from person to person and according to their age and the seasons. In women, the growth cycle lasts for about 6 years as compared to 3 years for men, and the hair grows faster in women then in men. In one lifetime we may produce more than 9 metres of hair.
